A General Electric U30CG, 8003, heads up a line of power outside Santa Fe's Argentine, Kansas shops. The U30CG is basically a U30C, to which a wide carbody and a steam generator have been added, for use in passenger service. These 6 units, unique to the Santa Fe alone, were delivered as the 400-405, later renumbered 8000-8005. |
