C44ACM modernization program includes updates to the control system software equivalent to current generation of Evolution Series software, and installation of new auxiliary and blower cabs. Additional shutters are added on the radiators and the FDL prime mover is rebuilt. Rebuilt by GE/Wabtec at both Erie, PA and Ft. Worth, TX. Units retain existing numbers after going through modernization program. |
